Becoming a YBW 2008 Sponsor
Your support can change the lives of our high school youth and support them as they learn more about the world of work and connect this world to their education and future. While teaching the hard and soft skills of business and participating in a Career Pathway that is both informative and engaging, the positive and productive outcomes of Youth Business Week include:
- Helping businesses recruit interested and appropriately trained students for their future workforce, including students who have participated in the Work Ready Certification program.
- Demonstrating that businesses take a proactive approach to finding and educating future employees. Potential customers and employees become aware that YBW sponsors are involved with the community and support educational programs.
- Creating the opportunity for sponsors to connect, mentor and pursue working associations with local students who may serve as summer employees, interns and part time help.
- Providing students with information about the issues faced by your industry and the business community as a whole.
Sponsorship
All sponsors will be listed in YBW program materials and on our web site. Sponsors may provide company materials with information on employment and internships, and are welcome to select company officials to serve as Company Advisors or in any other volunteer capacity during the YBW event. Sponsors may also advertise internships and/or jobs for high school aged youth on the YBW web site.
